Leave A Trace

International Exhibition at the Palace of Vatican Chancellery
Curate by Anna Isopo of Arte Borgo Gallery, Roma
8 – 16 November 2022

I have the great honor of participating in this international art exhibition with 2 artworks.

LEAVE A TRACE is the title of the exhibition curated by Anna Isopo of Arte Borgo Gallery hosted from 8 to 16 November 2022 in the evocative rooms of the Palazzo della Cancelleria Vaticana.

A place of great historical value, a jewel of architecture, overlooking the homonymous square, in the center of Rome, near Campo dei Fiori. The Palace, historic seat of the Apostolic Chancellery, dates back to the end of the 1400s and is an extraterritorial area of the Holy See. The main floor of the Palazzo della Cancelleria hosts countless works by great artists: from the vault of the Study Room frescoed by Perin del Vaga to the famous Salone dei Cento Giorni, with a fresco by Giorgio Vasari.

THE EXHIBITION The new exhibition entitled “Leave A Trace”, presented by Anna Isopo of Arte Borgo Gallery, arises from the aspects of singular expressive languages that constitute a presence, a trace that each interpreter leaves behind. A solid connection between present and future takes place, in which profound and unconscious elements of inspiration materialize. Complex languages are elaborated between colors, signs and shapes which, although different, are emotionally connected. International artists meet in a venue of excellence with the common objective to leave a trace through works that reflect the life path and artistic growth of each author. Thanks to the variety of techniques, materials and chromatic shades, the works on display strengthen the connection with the changing and complex reality that characterizes the current times. They are also harbingers of a reflection on the ever growing desire of human beings to find and leave a trace of themselves, a symptom of an unstoppable process based on wanting to affirm their own identity in a society that tends towards uniformity. In fact, art is nothing more than the attempt carried out by man for centuries now to leave a permanent testimony of being there, a sign of communication that is equivalent to imprinting a trace in society, marking a fleeting moment in the rush to the present. For this reason, “Leave a trace” can be considered as a manifesto of the memory not only of the artists taking part in the exhibition, but also of all those who, through their presence, will contribute to making it alive.
