NEGATIVE SPACES AND POINTS OF BALANCE
Herbaceous plants used as design elements
Digital printing 329 x 483 mm (13 x 19 in)
This series uses negative space, or empty space, as a method of minimalist composition. The plants are here decontextualized and used as elements of graphic design. These negative spaces, far from being inactive, accentuate the feeling of stability of the whole and draw the eye to the point of balance. In some of the works, these negative spaces almost dominate the composition.
The series is available in two modes of presentation:
1 to 20, photograph,
20 to 40, silhouettes giving the impression of a work executed in black ink.
