FRAGMENT OF AN UNKNOWN WORLD, No 2
I explore plant morphology to extract typical growth patterns that I reinterpret in new creations. These new forms, though treated realistically, exist only in my imagination. They emerge from my subconscious cogitations and inner world, and are slowly distilled through sketches into new creations that aim to demonstrate the breadth of adaptability of plant entities. This series of drawings will occupy my production for the next few years and will be the subject of two creative residencies to be held in 2024 and 2025.
